Cargo transportation is subject to strict regulations according to international conventions, local law of countries participants of international transportation process and company policy. Complete and accurate declaration is required at the time of booking to ensure full compliance with applicable law and necessary safety measures, both at the port and onboard our vessels.
To ensure your shipments to be delivered safely, and in the interest of the safety of our vessels, crews, port facilities and port’s stuff, please be informed that effective from 3rd August 2023 (date when misdeclaration is identified), we will implement a DG Misdeclaration Fee at the below quantum.
Charge: DG Misdeclaration Fee
Amount: USD 10,000 per container
Dangerous (DG) Misdeclaration Fee will be charged if any one of the following circumstances is found:
1. DG cargo mis-declared as non-DG cargo.
2. Requested to be amended from non-DG to DG cargo after laden gate-in terminal.
3. Cargo description / HS code / UN No. / Class No. / CAS No. / weight / dimension / quantity and any other information declared to carrier is incomplete, insufficient or different from that of actual stuffed cargo.
The carrier and/or agent shall have the right to recover all the losses and expenses suffered from the cargo in addition to the liquidated damages. The carrier and/or relevant authorities shall have the right to unload the goods at any time and place for any disposal. In addition to the carrier having the right not to be liable to the cargo for any loss or loss of the goods involved, the cargo party shall also be liable to the carrier for compensation according to law, including but not limited to handling charges, storage charges, container demurrage charges and any disposal expenses incurred by auction, destruction and return of the goods.
